Tech Talk : A review of the new Nokia 5.1

When I received the Nokia 5.1 I was like hmmm.... am not so sure if am going to like it as much as I liked the Nokia 7 plus. After a few days of using it I totally liked it. Am currently loving the new Nokia range of phones, they are quite sleek, light in weight and easy to carry around. The Nokia 5.1 is quite smooth and it kept sliding out of my hand and even when I placed it on my laps it would easily slide of, I would advice you to buy a phone cover immediately you buy the phone otherwise if the phone keeps falling it will eventually get damaged.

Nokia 5.1 Specifications

  • Internal memory of 32 GB, 3 RAM
  • Operating System : Android 8.0 ( Oreo); Android one
  • Size: 5.5 Inches
  • Camera : 16MP back camera , 8 MP front camera.
The Nokia 5.1 is currently available for purchase online  here at Jumia Kenya at Kshs 16,999. If you are looking for a basic smart phone at a cheaper price I highly recommend this one.

On my previous post on Instagram where I was telling you guyz about the Nokia 7 plus I mentioned that I always buy a camera that has a phone, photos are very dear to this fashion blogger. If you follow me on Instagram am sure you always see how I take lots of photos and videos for my insta stories so a nice camera is quite important. The Nokia 5.1 takes bomb pictures especially in low light situations compared to other phone cameras.

Let me share with you a few photos I took using this device. P.S this are raw images I haven't done any editing whatsoever.

Photo taken at a night event using the Nokia 5.1 , Connie Aluoch and I
I took this photo in the evening at around 5 pm,

This actually a video I took at the Concour d'Elegance event

I just love the clarity of this phone's camera. I would give it a 10/10 because the photos come out very clear whether its during the day or at night. The only problem I experienced with this phone is when I tried taking videos for my insta stories, it kept loosing focus I didn't understand why and that's something Nokia should look into.

In as much as this post is sponsored by Nokia, thoughts and opinions are my own. In case you have any question in regards to the Nokia 5.1 feel free to hit me up!
