Staycation at InterContinental Nairobi
Tuesday, June 18, 2019
InterContinental Hotel, Nairobi is one of Kenya's most prestigious 5 star hotel built in May 1969. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Nairobi's central business district (CBD) along City Hall Way. While you are at the hotel you can clearly see a few places of interest like the KICC building ( Kenyatta International Conference Center), the Parliament building as well as the park ( Uhuru Park).
InterContinental hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary last month in May and I was honored to be part of the guests in attendance during the celebration at the hotel. I came to learn that the hotel was officially opened on 22nd May 1969 and let me tell you guys the hotel doesn't look 50 years old at all. The interior decor is still up to standards with the modern day style.

How to wear red on Valentines day
Thursday, February 7, 2019
On Valentine's day most women like to wear red, my mum being one of them. I've seen her wear an all red outfit on Valentines day, she looked great but there are ways you can tone down an all red outfit. Red is highly significant with Valentines day and its appropriate to have a hint of red on this day set out for love.

Monday, November 19, 2018
Do you think its too early to start planning for Christmas? Well, I don't if anything I have already started making plans and on the top of my list this year is to buy my mum a jiko and no not the normal jiko that we are used to but a jikokoa, the modern day Jiko that is produced and distributed by Burn manufacturing.

Last week when the kobikihara challenge was trending, I couldn't help but ask myself so many questions about society expectations. When you are a "celebrity" I can imagine the pressure one feels to portray their lives on social media like they have it all together you know living their lives like its golden, but is it ever that serious to the point that now we take photos from the internet and claim to be our own.

Kingfisher Nest, Nairobi
Monday, August 13, 2018
A few weeks ago I spent a day at Kingfisher Nest apartment hotel, even though I was just there for a day I felt like I had the full on experience of a guest who had stayed at the hotel for a month. The apartment hotel is located in the heart of Westlands off Mwanzi road and directly opposite the former Ukay center. The Kingfisher nest has 46 units comprising of two bedroom apartments fully furnished. When I entered in to the apartment I immediately fell in love with the interior decor. The furniture, curtains and the carpets are tastefully colour blocked. The unique wall arts in the living room and the bedroom makes the apartment feel so serene and chic and don't get me started on the finishing of the wardrobes and the kitchen cabinets, they are 100% well done.

Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity of attending Google Africa's app Launch that took place at African Heritage House. The event kicked off from the Nairobi Railway station where we took a 30 minutes train ride to the venue. The train ride was quite an experience, we enjoyed the beautiful sceneries of the Nairobi national park and the newly built SGR Syokimau terminal.
When we arrived at the African Heritage House we were welcomed with refreshments as we headed to the tent where the Google team would give us a brief introduction about the new app. Google's country manager Charles Murito gave a brief speech about Google and the new app.
Royal Moet Nectar treatment
Tuesday, May 23, 2017
Last week Friday I had the pleasure of enjoying a Royal Moet Nectar treatment thanks to Moet & Chandon. This was in regards to their new lifestyle campaign that aims at Celebrating THE NOW achievements and milestones as they happen.
Among those in attendance were a few key lifestyle bloggers who had been nominated for the Royal Moet Nectar treatment.
One thing I love about the Royal Moet nectar is its rich fruity taste, a drink that will definitely excite your taste buds especially if you love exotic fruits like pineapple and mango, not forgetting that it has a slight hint of vanilla. Ladies, you will love it for sure.
Here are a couple of photos from the event.

Event recap : Exclusive Hennessy dinner
Friday, March 3, 2017
Last week I attended an exclusive dinner courtesy of Moet Hennessy Kenya & Viva global. The dinner was at Intercontinental Nairobi. The global brand development director of Moet Hennessy, Mr. Laurent Dominguez was our host together with Mr. Alexandre Helaine Moet Hennessy marketing manager. The dinner was well attended by top lifestyle personalities and the dining experience gave all the attendees an immersion of the rich heritage finesse and sophistication of Maison Hennessy.
Mr. Dominguez used the stages of a 4-course fine dining meal to let the personalities sip and savor the different pearls on the Hennessy crown. We were able to learn and taste the great cognacs of Maison Hennessy; the very special (V.S), Very Superior Old Pale (VSOP) and of course the ultimate Extra Old (X.O) accompanied by stories of how each name came to be.
The dinner experience was amazing and I got to learn so much about Hennessy which is one of my favorite drinks. Here are more photos from the event.
