Fashionable in African Print

Hope you had a lovely weekend.Mine was fantastic...and i have pics to prove it.:-) So as you know this is my first serious outfit post on my blog.Some pics i just styled my self up and took pics just for fun.Have a look!For the dress and the romper i bought the Fabrics then i had them made by Lynne of House of Kanga here in Nairobi,i absolutely loved her work.The red Tee is from Black Bird Jeans,its one of my favorite Tees

Reknowned African Fashion Designers From Kenya

They ooze creativity,Swag,uniqueness,intelligence,popularity and they be drop dead gorgeous their designs and fashion sense is to die for and these African designers aint no other than Blackbird Jeans.I remember the instant i saw their pieces on AFWNY i couldnt help but be dazzled,they made me more  proud to be Kenyan.I almost went insane when i saw their designs on the Runway,I was totally  impressed.

I recently had a chance to hook up with Zeddie for more of a chit chat than an Interview,he is one of the Duo together with Syd who make up  BlackBird Jeans.For the first time they had a chance to showcase their designs on the African Fashion Week New York which was Held in July 2011'.

A brief Insight on Blackbird and how it came about is that they started designing way back in High School.Zeddy and Syd were in the same High School.This clearly shows that what they got is an inborn talent.I could tell that they have passion for what they do....u should see Zeddy talk about African Fashion and his experience in New York.One word it was FANTASTIC they got exposed to different fashion cultures not only from Africa but also international.
