I was honoured to attend Moet & Chandon grand day over the weekend. The event was being celebrated around the world in 80 different countries on the same day 22nd June 2019 in 24 hours and Kenya was one of the 3 African countries that joined in on the celebrations.
Friends and guests of the Champagne house came together to raise their champagne glasses in a worldwide toast to the 150th anniversary of Moet Imperial, a global icon of celebration since 1869.
In Nairobi the 24 hour celebration began with a media breakfast attended by the French Ambassador in Kenya and Somalia, Aline Kuster - Menager, Government officials and key trade partners of the Champagne House. This was followed by a gyset brunch served at the luxury boutique hotel - The tribe.
My key highlights at the event included :-
The decor
Discmen Entertainment did an amazing job with the event decor. The table set up ,flower arrangements to the designated photo booths / areas were well done. There was enough lighting to take selfies and videos. The seats and table tops were in gold & white just like the event's theme.
The DJ
Dj Protege played a wide range of music ranging from Kenyan old school music to new school, Naija music as well, international pop music . He basically kept us on our feet during the event.
The Saxaphone live music which was being played by Mokua Rabai who is also a band member of the Nairobi Horns.
The stylish guests.
The theme for the event was Gold and white. I was quite impressed with how most of the guests went over and above to look their very best. Here are a few of the personalities that showed up and showed out!
The Moet
Moet kept flowing through out the afternoon.
The Moet Grand Day was so much fun and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
Thank you African Elite Group for doing a splendid job in organizing the event.
