Wambui Mukenyi Bridal Collection 2014

The Wambui Mukenyi brand brings her classy, contemporary aesthetic to the fashion forward wedding party. Each garment in this inaugural bridal collection has been touched by Wambui's continuing commitment to elegance and glamour.

The unapologetically feminine gowns are carefully made with every bride in mind, from the innocent princess to the trendsetting rebelle du jour. This is showcased by the daring strapless necklines, complimented by delicately boned bodices that are reminiscent of victorian corsetry.

Celebrating 100 days of African Fashion By Diana Opoti

For a while now i have been keenly following Diana Opoti.I totally love her style and also am happy that she supports African Fashion more so the designers.Recently she started 100 days of African Fashion a personal challenge in which she wears outfits designed by different African Designers including David Tlale,Laleso,Anisa Mpungwe,Mille Collines,Katungulu Mwendwa,Duaba Serwa just to mention but a few.

I really like the initiative she has taken in supporting African designers apart from that she also hers a Fashion PR Firm offering fashion publicity, strategies and market intelligence for African brands looking to set up in Nairobi, Kenya.

Outfit Post:High & Low Blues

Hope you had a well relaxed weekend like i did.I wore this gorgeous Blue high low dress which i got from Wambui Mukenyi.I love the pearl details on the dress that's what attracted me to it,with such details you don't need to accessorize so much just a simple ring and a bracelet will do just fine.

What i wore to FAFA

I was really not sure of what to wear on this big day,so i decided to design this simple outfit and thank God i have an awesome tailor who makes my outfits as i want them. You see when it comes to attending fashion events most of my outfits are usually custom made i prefer it that way as its cheaper to get a tailor to do my dress compared to buying it from the shop and furthermore if you want your outfit to be outstanding its better to design it yourself.

Inspiration:2 African Girls

Am a lover of African Fashion without a doubt!I love the prints,i love kitenge but more so i love the Ankara fabric from the West Africa. The vibrant colours and patterns on the fabric give life to any outfit designed in  African fabric be it the Khanga,Kitenge or Ankara. That's why whenever i come across bold prints designed immaculately I feel proud to be African...Designers world wide have found a way of merging current fashion trends with the African Print. In this case I heart 2 African Girls Designs!their outfits are high end that's for sure. They designed an outfit for Draya that made a buzz all over the world, every one wanted a piece of that outfit!and for sure the lucky ones got the exact same one before it was sold out.

This young designers for sure are talented. They have done a couple of amazing outfits that i just adore and if you follow them on instagram am sure you can attest to these. One of their latest designs i came a cross recently is this one...

Their fashion line is edgy, bold, daring, elegant and classy!just my kind of style.

The reason as to why i love African stuff so much apart from that.. of course African.... is that am so amazed by the potential Africa has in terms of African Fashion its just a matter of us exploiting our potential s/o far West Africa be going hard when it comes to Fashion....i know East Africa we aint that far from their footsteps....,I must Say that i was totally amazed by the young and upcoming fashion designers in Nairobi who showcased their designs in the recent concluded FAFA competitions.
Am so happy to see that in Nairobi we starting to appreciate fashion and fashion events here are like almost every weekend.Again am so happy about that....... too bad i miss most of them.. i know i know i must make plans of attending.....am looking forward to attending Trendz this weekend,i promise to give you the low down on the event :).
